How to upgrade your health: 9 ideas for you!

Health & Vitality Infographic JPEG

Navigating the landscape of food and lifestyle can be overwhelming… One minute fat is bad for you, the next we learn that the RIGHT fats are actually critical to health. One minute we are batting for the high protein / low carb diet, the next minute red meat is out… And now we are striving for a paleolithic diet. I wonder what will be next?

What we are sure of is that there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to food and lifestyle – each person is unique with individual requirements. Personal differences in anatomy, metabolism, body composition and cell structure all influence your overall health and the foods that make you feel your best. That’s why no single way of eating works for everyone. The food that is perfect for your unique body, age, and lifestyle may make another person gain weight and feel lethargic.

I prefer to work with guidelines that support the whole person. Your health and happiness is way more than just what you eat or how much you exercise. In fact, there are so many more pieces to the puzzle of health and happiness, food and lifestyle.

Have you noticed that when you are invigorated by a project you are working on that you barely get side tracked by thinking about food?

Have you noticed that when you have a strong attitude of gratitude that your positive mindset allows you to live in peace and with ease?

Have you noticed that when you nourish yourself with water, sunshine and sleep you naturally feel clear and energised?

I have 9 ideas for upgrading your health and happiness, described in this infographic. And my key strategies for moving towards better health and improved happiness?

  • Be gentle on yourself.
  • Baby steps.

What do you think? Do you have more ideas to share on the steps to improving your health and happiness? I’d love to learn more about how you improve your health and happiness in the comments below.

Thank you, just what I needed and really great reminders! Am working on improving number 5 and 6 for myself… they are the focus of my week… Also, I am listening to music, all sorts, makes me very happy, reminds me how life enriching music is!

Thank you M! Yes, a lot of things change and improve when you get enough quality sleep. I’m glad you are focusing on it: a relaxing bed time ritual is useful, if you find it difficult to get to sleep.

And thanks for your comments about music. I agree – music adds so much more texture to your day! I love choosing “theme songs” that my mind repeats over & over (I like to pick motivating songs). At the moment, I’m loving Alicia Keys’, “This Girl is on Fire”!!!
