Navigating the landscape of food and lifestyle can be overwhelming… One minute fat is bad for you, the next we learn that the RIGHT fats are actually critical to health. One minute we are batting for the high protein / low carb diet, the next minute red meat is out… And now we are striving for a paleolithic diet. I wonder what will be next?
What we are sure of is that there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to food and lifestyle – each person is unique with individual requirements. Personal differences in anatomy, metabolism, body composition and cell structure all influence your overall health and the foods that make you feel your best. That’s why no single way of eating works for everyone. The food that is perfect for your unique body, age, and lifestyle may make another person gain weight and feel lethargic.
I prefer to work with guidelines that support the whole person. Your health and happiness is way more than just what you eat or how much you exercise. In fact, there are so many more pieces to the puzzle of health and happiness, food and lifestyle.
Have you noticed that when you are invigorated by a project you are working on that you barely get side tracked by thinking about food?
Have you noticed that when you have a strong attitude of gratitude that your positive mindset allows you to live in peace and with ease?
Have you noticed that when you nourish yourself with water, sunshine and sleep you naturally feel clear and energised?
